2007 has arrived and you've emerged radiantly from the
carat-patch. (You got engaged!). The hitch? The "booking season's" underway, Wedding venues are reporting Saturday evenings throughout Southern California are as scarce as a Groom helping with the floral designs, and the panic level is getting gi-normous!! Not to worry, Brides, nothing spells relief like the Fallbrook area / Temecula Valley wine country. With 14 venues throughout the |
| Fallbrook area and 12 Temecula Valley wineries involved
in Weddings, the region is at your service. Still relatively
undiscovered, the area has a variety of lovely Wedding locations
offering available dates.
[CAKE Hint: Think outside the Saturday box! Consider being married Thursday, Friday or Sunday. Thursday & Friday Weddings make for a longer weekend with family and friends you haven't seen in years. Sunday Weddings are traditionally mellow]. |

LOS WILLOWS Hidden from view in rural Fallbrook lies the veiled haven of Los Willows. As you drive through the woods on a country lane flanked by the stream that carved this break through the mountains, you would never dream you are approaching one of Southern California's loveliest Wedding sites. Talk about privacy! Besides the beauty of the lake and the landscaping, Los Willows has a custom for delivering the Bride to the lakeside gazebo that's not to be found anywhere else. First, a vintage Rolls-Royce takes the Bride and her Father to a boat at |

|
the far end of the water. After boarding the launch, they are then ferried by the Captain across the lake to the gazebo. Its a right-out-of-the-movies scene which will long linger in your guests' memories! Cathy & Al Ransom have owned and nurtured the beauty of Los Willows for years. Assisted by seasoned Wedding veterans Su-Lin Sutherland & Christine LaGrua (and all watched over by Al's beloved hound, Babe), couples are treated to their Special Day in the ultimate romantic setting. WILSON CREEK WINERY Play word-association with your Bride-of-choice by saying "Wilson Creek Winery?" Odds are her reply will be "Almond Champagne!" [Hold onto that thought. More to come later]. Wilson Creek Winery lies at the far end of the Rancho California Road rainbow (the main thoroughfare through the Temecula Valley wine country), a breathtaking pot of gold bestowing upon Brides & Grooms a dreamy Ceremony |
| in the stream-side gazebo, followed by a reception
under the stars.
[Now back to the Almond Champagne]. While attending a Wedding this past summer at a nearby winery, CAKE witnessed an assistant wedding coordinator sprinting toward the parking lot with car keys clutched dearly. "Where are you going?" "Wilson! Our reception is running low on Almond Champagne!" (The Temecula Valley wineries are all within 10 minutes of each other). The entire Wilson Family has a sense of enjoyment-of-life that spills over into their Weddings. Its just plain fun to have them host your Special Day on the Wilson Creek Winery grounds. And the family is ably assisted by Wedding pros, Suzy Araiza & Gina Triglia. Not to mention, CAKE pal, Diana Ross, of Celebrations By Diana. Book the gazebo. Order the Almond. Its going to be a memorable Wedding. WILSON CREEK WINERY 35960 Rancho California Road events@wilsoncreekwinery.com

PREMIERE PRODUCTIONS Here's our experience at Weddings: We hear the words, "Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today . . ." We next hear the words, "You may kiss the Bride." And while we were mentally reminiscing about our relationship with the wonderful couple - the rest of the Ceremony transpired. Now if only we could go home, pop-in a DVD, and re-live the Special Day. |
